The weather in the Seychelles is warm and can be quite humid. There is a year round tropical climate with temperatures ranging from 26C to 32C and no extreme weather conditions such as hurricanes or cyclones. From May to October the South East trade winds have a cooling effect and the humidity and rainfall are lower. The seas can be a little rough on the south-east coasts.

 

October and November are transition months when the weather is often calm.

 

December to March brings the North West trade winds with higher humidity and rainfall, often in very heavy showers but there is still an average of 5 or 6 hours of sunshine per day.

 

April and May are again a transition period with light breezes and drier skies.
